Day 1 Cairo Arrival
Once you arrive to Cairo International Airport, and enter inside the arrival hall, you will find our Eiffel Travel Egypt airport representative waiting you holding the sign of our company or a sign with your name to greet you, and take care of handling all your procedures through Passport Control, Luggage area, and Customs formalities, then he will escort you by a modern air conditioned private vehicle towards your hotel, to help you with the check in procedures, and stay overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 Cairo "Pyramids Tour" Giza-Saqqara-Dahshur
At 8.00 am, Our Eiffel Travel Egypt tour guide will escort you from your hotel by the air conditioned vehicle to Giza Plateau where you will visit the marvelous 3 Pyramids of Kings Cheops,Chephren,and Menkaure , then a visit to the human headed lion statue which is called (The Sphinx) or (Abu el Hol) And witness the Valley Temple of King Chephren beside the Sphinx.The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world that still exists up till now.
After that moving on to visit the Complex of Saqqara which belongs to King Zoser and his step pyramid, which was designed and built by the great architect Imhotep (you can visit also Imhotep’s Museum at the same sight)The Step Pyramid is considered the first pyramid in Egypt. At the same sight, you will witness some of the well preserved Mastaba Shaped Tombs.
Then, going to Dahshur . The Sight of Dahshur is situated about 10 km south of Saqqara. At this area, you will witness the Bent and Red Pyramids which was built by the 4th Dynasty king Senefru (the father of King Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid at Giza Plateau). The Bent pyramid is the second funerary monument of King Senefru's Complex after Meidum Pyramid. The Red Pyramid, is the third funerary monument which belongs to King Senefru, and it is the first successful true (straight-sided) pyramid ever built. And It's called the red Pyramid because of the reddish color of its stones which were used in its construction.
After finishing this amazing tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 3 Flight to Luxor / Day Tour to the East Bank / Nile Cruise
In the early morning, our driver will pick you up from your hotel by the air conditioned private vehicle towards Cairo airport to take the one hour flight to Luxor. Once you arrive to Luxor Airport, our Eiffel Travel Egypt tour guide will be waiting you outside the arrival hall building of the airport to escort you by a modern air-conditioned private vehicle to visit the remarkable Temples of the East Bank, Starting with the Complex of Karnak Temple which is a Cult temple dedicated to the Triad of Thebes (Amun, Mut and Khonsu), It is the largest religious building ever made. Which was developed from the middle Kingdom era till the Ptolemaic era. It’s actually a complex of many temples at one area, and each temple is dedicated to a specified god.
Then, heading to the second temple at the East Bank, Luxor Temple which was the focus of one of the most important religious festivals in ancient Egypt - the annual Opet Festival. There are different scenes on the walls representing the celebration of the festival. The temple has been in almost continuous use as a place of worship right up to the present day. During the Christian era, the temple’s hypostyle hall was converted into a Christian church, and the remains of another Coptic church can be seen to the west. Then for thousands of years, the mosque of Sufi Shaykh Yusuf Abu al-Hajjaj was built over it. This mosque was carefully preserved when the temple was uncovered and forms an integral part of the site today.
After ending this amazing day tour, you will be transferred towards the Nile Cruise Docks , and our guide will help you with the Nile Cruise embarkation “Checking in” , then after leaving your luggage in your cabin, you will go the restaurant to have your lunch meal, Have some rest , and have your dinner , and enjoy some Leisure Time on board…and stay overnight.
Day 4 Tour on the West Bank of Luxor / Sail to Edfu
After Breakfast, Eiffel Travel Egypt professional tour guide will escort you from the Nile Cruise to start a tour towards the Theban Necropolis at the West Bank Starting with a visit to the Valley of the Kings which was the burial site for the famous kings such as the Child King Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses I, and other kings of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties.
Then Moving on to visit The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which was built for the Eighteenth dynasty Queen Hatshepsut , one of the greatest rulers. The Temple is known as "the Holy of Holies”. Its architecture design is unique . It is considered one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt.", The relief sculpture within Hatshepsut’s temple recites the tale of the divine birth of a female pharaoh. The text and pictorial cycle also tell of an expedition to the Land of Punt.
After that you will take a Photo Stop at the two Colossi Statues of Memnon .
They are two gigantic statues representing King Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt.
Then, after ending this gorgeous tour around the anceinet Egytian civilization of the West Bank, you will be transferred back to the Nile Cruise to have your lunch meal on board, then you will enjoy an Entertainment show afternoon, while sailing to Edfu (Via Esna) , and stay overnight near Edfu
Day 5 Edfu Sightseeing Tour / Sail to Kom Ombo
In the morning after finishing the Breakfast meal, our tour guide will accompany you to experience one of the authentic Horse-Drawn Carriage rides on your way to Edfu Temple. And upon arrival , you will start your visit to this Ptolemaic Temple and one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. the temple is dedicated to Falcon God Horus, the avenging son of Isis and Osiris. The ancient Egyptians believed that the temple was built on top of the location where the infamous battle of Horus and Seth took place. It is an excellent example of traditional Egyptian elements with Greek influences mixed in. The walls of the temples have many beautiful reliefs depicting many stories from the ancient Egyptian mythology. The Temple was the center of several festivals sacred to Horus.
After ending the visit , you will get back to the floating boat , to start sailing towards Kom-Ombo and have your lunch meal on board…Enjoy the navigation along the Nile river , and take some beautiful photos to the magnificent scenery on both sides of the Nile.
The next visit will be at Kom-Ombo Temple which is located on the bank of the Nile river, and you will reach it on foot (around 5 minutes walking from the boat). Kom-Ombo Temple which is an unusual double temple constructed during the Ptolemaic period; due to the conflict between Sobek and Horus, the ancient Egyptians felt it necessary to separate their temple spaces within one temple. The Kom Ombo temple has two entrances, two courts, two colonnades, two Hypostyle halls and two sanctuaries, one side for each god, The Southern part for the Falcon god "Haroeris", while the northern part for the Crocodile god "Sobek". The reliefs showing the medical tools (surgical instruments) is among the most intriguing features of the temple. It can be found in the building’s rear, in the passageway that surrounds the main area.. At the time the relief was carved, Egyptian medical science was almost certainly the most advanced in the world.
Ending the visit, then getting back to the Nile Cruise, having dinner and start sailing to Aswan overnight.
Day 6 Aswan Arrival –Abu Simbel Tour / Felucca Ride in Aswan
In the early morning, (Note: You will request a Breakfast box from the Nile Cruise to take it on the go before starting the tour), You will be picked up from your Nile Cruise in Aswan by the modern air conditioned vehicle with your Egyptologist tour guide to start your trip towards Abu Simbel (around 3 Hrs. Driving) where you will visit the breathtaking two temples which were originally cut into a solid rock cliff, and built by the Great Egyptian King Ramses II. The relocation of the temples was a historic event in the 1960's. At that time, the temples were threatened by submersion in Lake Nasser when the High Dam was constructed. The Egyptian government with the support of UNESCO launched a world wide appeal to save these colossal landmarks. They were successfully dismantled and relocated to a spot 60 meters above the cliff where they had been initially built. The more famous of the two temples is dedicated to Ramses II and the smaller one to his favorite wife Nefertari. They were both built by Ramses II in the 13th century BC.
After ending this amazing trip, you will be transferred back to Aswan (around 3 Hrs. Driving) , and upon arrival afternoon, you will be dropped off at the floating hotel to take some rest and have your lunch on board.
Afternoon, around the Sunset time, Eiffel Travel Egypt tour guide will escort you to sail one of the authentic traditional Felucca boats along the longest River in the World "The Nile”, enjoy the fresh river breeze , and during the ride, you will see the beautiful islands of Aswan such as Elephantine island , one of the largest islands in Aswan. Its name meant both 'elephant' and 'ivory' in ancient Egyptian, a reminder of the important role the island once played in the ivory trade. Elephantine was considered as cult center for god Khnum. During your boat ride, you will witness also the island where Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens are located. It’s peaceful paradise, full of shady trees, beautiful flowers and unusual plants. The island is a haven for rare exotic birds of many kinds and their colorful plumage can be glimpsed in the branches of most of the trees. Also you can notice and take some photos to the nearby famous Mausoleum of Aga Khan.
After this gorgeous ride, you will be transferred back to the Nile cruise to have dinner on stay overnight in Aswan.
Day 7 Disembarkation / Tour around the landmarks of Aswan / Flight to Cairo
You will have your breakfast onboard. Then checking out, and our Eiffel Travel Egypt Egyptologist tour guide will escort you in a day tour to visit the landmarks of Aswan, we will begin with a visit to Aswan's High Dam one of the marvels of the modern Egyptian history. It is a rock-fill dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan., and tames the Nile River and utilizes the power of the river for a variety of social and economic causes. .It Contains 18 times the material used in the great pyramid of Cheops
Then, you will head the Bank of the Nile river to get into one of the motor boats to sail towards Agilika island to visit the beautiful Temple of Goddess Isis at Philae . The construction of the temple began during the reign of King Ptolemy II, and then other Ptolemaic Kings contributed by adding more parts to the main Temple. It was Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO's rescue project, which transferred the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island. And it was dedicated to goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.
After ending this amazing trip , you will be dropped off at Aswan International Airport to catch the flight back to Cairo.
Upon arrival to Cairo Airport, and get outside the arrival hall, you will find our driver waiting you to pick you up back by the private vehicle to your hotel in Cairo to stay overnight.
Day 8 City Tour around Cairo (Museum + Islamic Cairo)
Our Eiffel Travel Egypt tour guide will escort you by an air conditioned vehicle to visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities at Tahrir Square. It was built in 1902 and it exhibits a large number of genuine items, Statues, and treasures (exceeding 120,000 masterpieces) dating back to different eras from the ancient Egyptian period till Greco-Roman period including the priceless collection of the child king Tut Ankh Amon.Also you can visit the Mysterious Mummies room inside the Museum if you wish (Requires Extra Optional Ticket).
Then, Moving on to visit one of the Great and Stunning constructions in Islamic Cairo “The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby”. Which is located near Mokattam Hill. It was established in 12th century to defend Cairo against the Crusaders campaigns. The citadel was used as the ruling center of Egypt during the medieval ages. On the same area of the Citadel, you will witness the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha which is situated on the highest spot inside the courtyard of the Citadel of Saladin. It’s considered one of the landmarks in Cairo with its huge space, the beautiful ornaments on its sides and walls, and its magnificent domes and minarets.
Then moving on to "Islamic Cairo" to wander along the 1000 years old "Muizz" street. One of the oldest street in Cairo. And it is considered as an open air museum for its wonderful Islamic Buildings from the Medieval ages which are ornamented with different patterns and paints such as (Mosques, Schools “Madrassa”, and Mausoleums ), After that ending the tour with a walking tour at Khan el Khalili Bazaar . It is one of Cairo's important landmarks in the heart of Islamic Cairo ...You can wander around the Bazaar now where you will find many souvenirs shops ,coffeehouses "Café" such as al famed (Al Fishawy Cafe) serving Arabic coffee, delicious Egyptian Tea and offering Hookah "Shisha", and decision local Egyptian restaurants throughout the area.
After this trip you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Day 9 Travel to Bahariya Oasis / Nature & Camping at White & Black Desert
In the early morning at 7.00 am, Eiffel Egypt Travel tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to travel towards Bahareya Oasis (about 350 KM distance, and 4 Hrs. Driving) , you can stop in the middle of the desert road at a Rest house , to take a quick refreshment , and you can pick something to eat or drink or go to toilet , before proceeding to Bahareya Oasis.
Once you arrive to Bawiti (Central town of Bahareya) we will change the normal vehicle by another 4× 4 air conditioned safari vehicle and meet our local Bedouin guide and driver who will escort us to the must-see spots of the desert.
You will start with a stop at the High Sand Dunes near Bahareya, then heading to the Black Desert territory which is a vast area of sandy plains and mounts covered with black stones and minerals like coal and iron. This area was created due to the actions of the volcanoes which are dating back to the prehistoric period, After that going to have Picnic Lunch Stop at "El Haize village"
After that proceeding to el "Agabat Valley" It’s a small valley of unusually beautiful mountain formations. Here, the white cliffs common to the White Desert meet the dunes and the yellow limestone rocks of Sahara.
The Last Stop before camping at White Desert will be at Crystal Mountain .It is not really a mountain, rather a rock or ridge.But "crystal" is a correct description, and a stop here is definitely worth the time. Resembling the crystals of the Superman movies, the quartz crystals manage to fascinate most visitors. After that heading to the White Desert. It is truly white, in clear contrast with the yellow desert elsewhere. At night,it gets a character reminding of an Arctic landscape or like the surface of the moon. The rock formations of the desert are often quite dramatic, and you should not miss out on the weird rock balancing on top of a white pillar, Human heads, Chicken and Mushroom shapes.
While the Bedouin guide and driver unpack the Camping equipment,, you can observe the changing faces of chickens and mushrooms and monoliths as the bright sun of the afternoon sinks into a shadowy dusk. As the sun goes down, the calcium sea seems to reflect all the fuchsias and oranges of the sky. And while any night under the stars of the Western Desert is an experience not soon forgotten.
After that you will taste the delicious Bedouin Barbeque dinner, around a fire circle watching a magnificent scenery of the sky full of stars, observing the shooting stars and smoking hookah if you want. And you can exchange talking with your Egyptologist guide and the Bedouin about the history and culture of this area while you take a sip of the exquisite Bedouin tea, then going to sleep in a tent in the desert overnight.
Day 10 Culture at Bahareya Oasis / Travel to Cairo
Around the Sunrise time, you will get up, Enjoy witnessing the scenery of the Sunrise at this magical area, and take some photos from different spots. After that, having your breakfast and start packing all our camping stuff in order to be ready to drive towards Bahareya Oasis.
On your way back to Bahareya, you will stop at one of the warm springs in Bahariya oasis . which is used in irrigation and you will see around it wide spaces planted with palm trees, as Bahareya is considered as one of the main centers in the world for the Dates industry. And your guide will teach you some important information about this industry at the oasis.
After that, you will head to visit The Valley of the Golden Mummies which is a huge burial site at Bahariya Oasis dates back to the Greco-Roman period, It was discovered by Dr. Zahi Hawass the famous archeologist in 1996. Up till now, Hawass and his Egyptian team found around 250 mummies over several seasons. The last stop in our trip will be at the English Mountain (Gebel Al Ingleez) also known as Black Mountain. It was used by English Soldiers at The World War I, You will witness their residence and there are some remnants of their buildings there.
After ending the tour, you will arrive back to Bawiti city where we will change the 4×4 vehicle by our previous normal vehicle and start our trip back to Cairo, and once we arrive to Cairo, you will be dropped off at your hotel to stay overnight in Cairo.
